Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade remain at the scene of the fire at the Oxigen Plant in Ballymount this morning.
According to the fire service, they are still trying to extinguish the blaze which broke out at the recycling plant in the south of the city at the weekend.
Waste at the industrial fire at the Oxigen Plant is still smoldering this morning, as the fire service say they could be there for several more days as they tackle the blaze.
Firefighters survey damage at the plant
It has caused a particular challenge for fire fighters because of the compacted nature of the materials involved.
Local families are advised to continue to keep their doors and windows closed amid health fears. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says that it is monitoring the air quality in the area.
Meanwhile gardai say a number of traffic restrictions remain in place at the Clondalkin Industrial Estate.
No access will be allowed past the cordon point at Ballymount Avenue, however there will local access into business operating in the area.
It may be a few more days before gardai and fire services can begin forensically examining the site to determine the cause of the blaze.
Labour Councillor Michael O'Sullivan says this incident raises concerns over regulation of the industry.
