Five men have been arrested after Gardaí uncovered 19 petrol bombs in a car in County Kildare.
The devices were found after Gardaí stopped and searched the car in the Carbury area at around 11.30pm last night.
In all, 19 petrol bombs were recovered.
Four adult males were arrested and are currently being held at a Garda station in Kildare.
Separately, while dealing with the incident, Gardaí were confronted by a man in his 40s who was armed with a knife.
The man was arrested, charged, and appeared before a special sitting of Naas District Court this morning.
