There's an appeal for information after five containers of liquid nitrogen were stolen from a farmyard in east Cork yesterday.
The containers were taken between the hours of 1am and 7.30am in Killeagh on Tuesday morning.
Liquid nitrogen can cause severe burns if it comes in contact with skin, and there's also a risk of suffocation if it's released in a confined space.
Anyone who comes across the stolen substance is being told not to interfere with the containers and to instead contact their local Garda station immediately.
Gardaí say the liquid nitrogen was stolen using an Ifor Williams trailer which was also taken from the premises.
They're now appealing to anyone with information or who was in the Killeagh area early on Tuesday morning to come forward.
Any witnesses or anyone with information can contact Youghal Garda Station on 024-922-00 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
