A new five star Dublin Airport hotel is under construction.
The hotel will be located at Terminal Two and will have over 400 beds, a spa, a lounge and a luxury bar.
It is set to create over 300 jobs.
The five star hotel promises a luxury experience for travellers.
Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) Chief Executive Kenny Jacobs said he couldn’t believe the plans when he was first told.
"I was sat in my office just around the corner," Mr Jacobs said.
A colleague told Mr Jacobs to look out his office window and showed him the site where the hotel is being built.
"I was like, 'You're not serious?' ... 'How do they get planning?'"
The five star hotel will form part of the Sofitel chain and it will be operated by Arora who run hotels at some of the major airports in Britain.
The Dublin Airport hotel will be the first ever five star hotel in North Dublin.
It is not yet known when the hotel will officially open.
