The teenagers were arrested yesterday in connection with a serious assault on a 14-year-old boy in Navan.
All five teenagers were released without charge, An Garda Síochána has confirmed.
A file will be referred in the first instance for consideration for admission to the Juvenile Diversion Programme.
Gardaí arrested three teenagers yesterday morning and they were released without charge the same afternoon.
The two other teenagers were arrested yesterday afternoon and released later that evening.
Gardaí confirmed investigations are ongoing.
The alleged attack has been classified by Gardaí as an assault with “hate as a motivating factor.”
Gardaí said they are aware of a video circulating on social media of this incident.
“Out of respect for the victim in this case we would request that people refrain from sharing this video.”
The alleged attack in Navan on Monday afternoon was filmed and shared widely on social media, gaining millions of views.
The victim suffered serious facial injuries and was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment.
