The HSE has denied reports that they issued a public health alert when a plane was diverted to Dublin airport earlier today
The health authority has confirmed that an ambulance was on standby when the US Airways flight landed and nine people were taken to Beaumount hospital for observation.
But say they are not investigating the incident.
Flight US175 touched down at Dublin airport at around three this afternoon when a number of people on board began complaining of nausea, dizziness and watery eyes.
The flight, which was en route from Venice to Philadelphia, has now been cancelled and the passengers are spending the night in a hotel.
