A floating restuarant that was once visited by Tom Cruise and George Clooney sank 30 minutes after its pump stopped working.
The three-masted Le Marseillois in the French city of Marseille went down when the pump, used to empty water out of the boat broke down, a fire department spokesperson said.
Around 25 firefighters and divers were deployed to try and save the boat, a star attraction in the southern city's old Vieux Port area.
The 1920's schooner, the name given to this type of vessel, was once used for trading in Spain, but was bought by Marseille residents when it become obsolete in the middle of the 20th century.
