Heavy rain has caused flooding in many parts of the country tonight - while fallen trees are also causing problems for motorists.

Cork has been badly hit by floods, and Gardai are advising drivers to avoid the Blackpool area. College Road is also impassable.

There's also been spot flooding in Waterford.

The heavy rain and strong winds are expected to continue tonight and tomorrow, with snow falling further north.
