Major legal action is expected to be taken by the food production companies involved in the horse meat controversy.
The Sunday Business Post reports this morning a multi-million euro lawsuit could span several EU countries as affected companies are expected to take legal action for huge financial losses.
Further DNA test results of samples taken from Liffey Meats are to be made public over the coming days.
On Thursday the Silvercrest plant in Monaghan which is owned by ABP foods suspended processing at it's plant following test results which found the presence of horse meet in 10 samples of the 20 tested.
