We’re being warned against foraging for mushrooms.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland says nobody should eat any part of a mushroom they’ve found in the wild, without consulting an expert mushroom forager.
The FSAI’s also urging parents to ensure children do not consume mushrooms that may be growing wild in gardens or fields.

Last year 22 cases of food poisoning related to wild mushrooms were notified and so far this year, there have been seven cases.
