He won the hearts of people around the world with his photos from the International Space Station, but in Ireland particularly Chris Hadfield really struck a chord with his tweets, photos and videos from space.
Chris is back in Ireland today, and has been visiting Trinity College where he is being awarded the Gold Medal of Honorary Patronage of the University Philosophical Society.

Mr Hadfield was in Ireland last December, and took part in a special interview for Newstalk Breakfast. He also performed with the Chieftans on the day, following their earlier 'intergalactic duet' while Hadfield was in orbit.
