Limerick Circuit Court heard that two of his victims were polio sufferers whom he groomed through his work with a group of disabled scouts.

Abuse took place at scout camps

The 82-year old from Canon Breen Park, Thomondgate in Limerick indecently assaulted two of his victims at Pearse Street Garda station where he worked as juvenile liaison officer.

While other indecent assaults took place at scout camps in Dublin and Waterford and in his car, after he dropped the boys home from scout meetings.

Judge Carroll Moran suspended the final 18-months of a 2-year jail sentence and added that Dunne should serve 6 months in prison "to reflect the awful things he did".
