Four men have been arrested after a rescue operation was launched on the River Liffey.
It came after a boat was allegedly stolen from a rowing club.
Shortly before midnight on Monday, Gardaí at Irishtown responded to reports of a boat being stolen from a rowing club at Ringsend.
Gardai attended the scene and a boat with a number of people on board was spotted stranded on the River Liffey.
A full-scale river rescue involving Dublin Fire Brigade was launched and four men were brought safely to shore at North Wall Quay a short time later.
The men, who are in their late 20s, were arrested and brought to Irishtown Garda Station.
All four have since been charged and released to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court next month.
