Gardaí in Cork are questioning four men over the seizure of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €100,000 yesterday.

Officers found an elaborate growhouse when they searched a rented property in Rusheen, Macroom at around 10pm last night.

The Polish men who are aged from their late teens to early 30s were all arrested on the premises during the raid.

They are being held at Bandon garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

They can be held for up to seven days.
