Four people have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Dublin last weekend which has left a man in a serious condition in hospital.
It happened at Lamb Alley in Dublin 8 in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man in his 20s was found with head injuries and was taken to St. James Hospital and subsequently Beaumont Hospital. He remains there in a serious condition.
Two men and two women - all aged in their 20s - were arrested this morning. They are being held at Irishtown, Pearse Street, Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations in the city.
The two men are held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and the women are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The Persons Act.
