Four children, all believed to be under the age of 12, have been killed after they were reportedly hit by a car while riding their bikes in Sydney, Australia.
Police were called to the scene after multiple reports that children had been struck by a 4-by-4 in Oatlands - a suburb northwest of the city - on Saturday.
Four children died at the scene.
A fifth child was taken to hospital in a critical condition, while two others were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The of the car has been arrested.
In a statement, New South Wales Police said: "The driver of the 4WD was subjected to a roadside breath test and returned a positive result. He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station for a breath analysis.
"Officers from The Hills Police Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit."
