A four-day work week could see employees' mental health and wellbeing improved, according to a new survey.
A workplace survey carried out by HR Buddy shows peoples' mental health and wellbeing is impacted as they struggle to switch off.
In fact, a third of Irish workers aren't aware of their right to disconnect from the workplace.
The annual survey, now in its fourth year, shows the most popular action that could be taken is a four-day working week.
HR Buddy’s Managing Director Damien McCarthy said more time off was a very popular answer.
“We asked in the research, we asked what could be improved inside in workplaces, or what could be implemented to improve your life work balance,” he said.
“One of the most popular answers we found was the introduction of a four-day work week and more time off were very much the popular answers in our research.”
