Four men arrested in connection with an €8.5 million cannabis seizure over the weekend are due in court this morning.
Officers uncovered nearly 430kg of the drugs in south Dublin as part of a major operation on Friday afternoon.
It came after they intercepted two vehicles and carried out a planned search of a business premises in the Ballymount area.
Four men, aged 31, 45, 52 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of “facilitating and enhancing a criminal organisation to commit drug trafficking offences”.
All four were questioned at Garda stations in the Dublin region and have since been charged.
They are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
