A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the aggravated burglary at Tom Niland’s home in Sligo in January 2022.

Gardaí said the man in his 60s is being held at a Garda station in Sligo this morning.

Three other men have already been charged in connection with the burglary at the house in Skreen and have appeared before the courts.

74-year-old Tom Niland remained on life support for 18 months following the incident.

The Sligo farmer died at Sligo University Hospital in September.
