Irish Rail is warning passengers that fraudsters are masquerading as ticket inspectors and collecting on-board fines on the DART.
The rail company is urging people to demand ID when approached for tickets or issued with fine on the Northern Commuter and DART services.
It said the fraudsters are wearing non-Irish Rail Hi-Viz vests.
