Astronomy Ireland Sun Show
This Saturday afternoon from 1pm, Astronomy Ireland will host a special Daytime Sun Watch at our headquarters in Artane (Dublin 5) where members of the public will get to see the Sun in a way that very few people have ever seen before. Check out their website for more details.
Other Voices Derry 2014
Other Voices will return to Derry~Londonderry in 2014 for the second instalment of the series. If you were lucky enough to get a free ticket to the event at The Glassworks – good for you! But for those of you who weren’t, there is a wide array of activity with Outer Voices on offer across the city throughout the weekend, including live streaming from the Glassworks to a number of venues and bars in the city centre - all info is available here.
National Gallery of Ireland Exhibitions
The National Gallery in Dublin is currently showing New Portraits (14 Dec – 09 Feb) for another few days. Then there is “Care of the Collection” (18 Jan – 30 May), a presentation of three paintings that were preserved by the National Gallery. Well worth a look!
100 Years Ago – A Reflection on the 1913 Lockout – in Paintings and Sculpture

Ballymena Festival
The Festival takes place during February and March in the new Braid Arts Centre in Ballymena which has modern facilities for most major performing arts. The Festival provides a wide opportunity for performers at all stages of music, speech, drama and dance. This weekend celebrates the art of dance.
