The Freemasons of Ireland has said it "regrets" hosting an interview between Conor McGregor and right-wing American presenter Tucker Carlson.
The controversial interview - during which the MMA fighter discussed his desire to run for president and described Ireland as an undemocratic country - was filmed at the Freemasons' Hall in Dublin on Tuesday.
In a statement, the organisation says the venue is available for private event hire, but "if the participants and content had been known, the booking would not have been accepted".
It also denied any association with the participants and has apologised to its members.
