A Garda investigation is underway after a group of French students were robbed and their teacher was stabbed in Cork city.
The 22 students and their teacher were targeted as they left a restaurant on St Patrick's Street at around 10pm on Tuesday.
The Echo reports a man and a woman, both aged in their late 20s and wearing dark clothes, stole one of the teenage girl's phone and later stabbed the teacher in the back with what is believed to be a screwdriver.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident on Patrick's Street in Cork City between 10pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday night to come forward.
