Fire fighters are throwing everything they have to get another major blaze on Howth Hill under control in Dublin.
A break has been put in place to protect a number of houses that are close to the scene on the northern side of the summit.
At least 8 units of the fire brigade as well as a number of water tankers are tackling this blaze which took hold again this afternoon.
They had been in the area on a dampening down operation following a fire in the same place overnight.
While the smoke is not as thick as earlier on conditions on the summit are windy causing problems for fire fighters trying to put out the blaze.
Walkers along the cliffs have been advised not to use paths near the area until it’s been declared same to do so.
No injuries have been reported and no homes have been evacuated as a result of the fire.
