Receivers were appointed to the companies which operate the iconic shop on O’Connell Street in Dublin yesterday.
A deal on its future was confirmed last night.
Investment firm Gordon Brothers also has good news for staff with a promise that they will be re-employed on their current terms and conditions.
The company had announced at the end of August that it decided to close its shop in Blanchardstown.
However it was anoounced yesterday that the subsidiary companies of Clerys ”“ Guineys on Talbot Street and stores in Naas and Leopardstown ”“ are going to go into liquidation with the loss of 29 jobs.
