Ireland is set to be hit with even colder conditions tonight and into tomorrow.
A Status Yellow low temperature/ice warning has been issued for almost the entire country.
Dublin, Wexford and Waterford are exempt from the alert.
Met Éireann is warning of very cold conditions from 6pm tonight, with temperatures expected to fall below -3C in many areas.
The forecaster has said developing frost and ice will cause "hazardous travelling conditions."

Tonight will be very cold with widespread sharp to severe frost and icy stretches.
It will be dry and clear across most areas but there will be some scattered wintry showers moving into west Connacht and west Ulster, as well as along parts of the east coast.
Friday morning will see frost, ice and any mist or fog gradually clearing with a dusting of snow locally, mainly in the northwest.
The alert is in place until midday on Friday, which is the first day of the meteorological winter.
A similar ice warning is also in place for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Tyrone and Derry.
