The funeral for Clonmel crash victim Zoey Coffey will be held today.
18-year-old Zoey will be laid to rest after her funeral mass at 11.30am at St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
She is the last person who died in the crash on August 25th to be buried.
She will be buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Clonmel, where two other crash victims, 24-year-old Luke McSweeney and his sister 18-year-old Grace, were buried yesterday.
Along with Nicole Murphy, the group were travelling to a Leaving Cert celebration when the car they were travelling in hit a wall and overturned.
Presentation Secondary School Principal Michael O’Loughlin said students Zoey and Grace were “two beautiful students who were loved by everyone who met them”.
Books of condolences have been opened in the town for those who wish to pay tribute to the young people.
Local chaplain Fr Michael Toomey said the tragedy had affected “everybody in the town” and on Sunday, thousands of locals attended a vigil in Clonmel to remember the young people.
“In the last couple of days, my focus and the focus of the school has been to support the friends of the three girls who sadly lost their lives,” he said.
“But also, we want to acknowledge that this has affected everybody in the whole town and we wanted people to come together for people to [pay their] respects and for them to grieve.
“It was wonderful in one way, to see so many generations of people there last night.”
