This week on Futureproof we look at the controversial area of eugenics, the belief and practice of improving the genetic quality of the human population.

We’re joined by Kevin Mitchell who is Senior Lecturer in Genetics in Trinity College to look at the whole area of genetic screening. Would you screen an embryo for intelligence, hair colour or even sexuality?

This is a pressing and indeed troubling issue for genetics and our shared future.
