Sweetgreen, an American nutritional body dedicated to helping students maked healthier lunch choices, has unveiled a series of photographs showing the average school lunch in countries all over the globe.
As the contents of a canteen's tray tend to change from day to day, Sweetgreen studied a number of government initiatives and food recommendations, as well as nutritional policies to devise the meals. The also looked at images shared on social media and used them as a guide when recreating what the average school lunch looks like.
A quick look through the gallery shows that the US lags far behind the global community, and that is what Sweetgreen hopes to change.
