It's believed the gang behind a suspected drug smuggling operation off west Cork is based in Spain.
Ten men are still being held this morning over the joint investigation by gardaí, the naval service and international police forces.
They're being held at Garda stations across Cork and Gardaí have been granted orders extending their detentions.
An articulated lorry, an RIB and a camper van were seized along with mobile phones, electronic devices and computers.
Gardaí are now trying to trace the mothership that was intending to offload this consignment of drugs.
They believe this was an operation by an international narcotics trafficking gang. It is believed the operation is based in Spain but has links with countries across Europe.
It's believed that the drugs that were intended to be smuggled was cocaine, likely sourced from Colombia via Venezuela in Central America.
Naval divers have been called in to search the seabed off the coast of west Cork for the possible dumped cocaine supply.
There is speculation that the individuals arrested may have been aware of surveillance or the operation was aborted on the basis of unsuitable weather conditions.
