Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a 70-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision in Co Tipperary yesterday morning.

The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, happened at Cloone Cross in Templemore at around 11.55.

The motorcyclist received serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Limerick where he was pronounced dead last night.

No one else was injured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Templemore garda station.
