A garda is due in court this morning charged as part of a corruption investigation into a ‘particular Garda unit’ based in Dublin.

Four gardaí from the unit have been suspended while the Garda Anti-Corruption Unit carried out its investigation.

One officer has been charged and he is due appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.

The Garda investigation is ongoing.
