A Garda investigation is underway in Dublin in connection with last night's shooting of John Gilligan.
The convicted drug dealer was shot several times at his brother's home at Greensfort Crescent in Clondalkin yesterday evening while he was attending a family get together.
Two masked men entered the house at around 7pm and Gilligan was shot at least twice in the chest and leg.
He was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he's being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A Garda investigation is now underway and detectives are on the hunt for the two gunmen who fled in a car that was waiting nearby.
