Gardai are looking for witnesses to a collision in Dublin on Monday evening, in which an elderly man died.

The 75-year-old was hit by a car on the Greendale Road in Kilbarrack and taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he passed away the next day.

He's been named as Anthony Burke from Briarfield Grove in Kilbarrack.

Gardai say the scene of the collision has been technically examined and the driver of the car has been interviewed. 

Anyone who was in the area on Monday is being asked to contact investigating officers at Raheny station.
