Gardaí targeting organised crime have carried out searches at an unofficial halting-site in south-west Dublin.

A number of Garda units were involved in the searches in the Tootenhill area of Rathcoole.

Officers carried out searches at 30 homes during the operation.

Twelve caravans, three generators and a range of power tools were seized.

Gardaí said they believe them to be stolen property.

Investigators are currently itemising the seized property.

No arrests have been made and the Garda investigation is ongoing.
