The man injured in a shooting in west Dublin earlier today remains in serious condition, according to gardaí.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was shot in his chest at a scrapyard on Greenhills Road in Walkinstown at about 11.35am.
He was in critical condition when he was rushed to Tallaght Hospital.
Detectives are now searching for two suspects, the first described as a tall man who was wearing a grey tracksuit.
The second suspect, who is thought to have driven the pair away from the scene, has not yet been described.
Gardaí have asked anyone who was in the area and noticed a Seat Ibiza, with registration number 97 D 44770, to come forward.
The vehicle was subsequently located on Corrig Close, a short distance from the scene of the shooting, according to gardaí.
