A Garda station in Co Monaghan has been 'extensively damaged' in a fire, the force has confirmed.
It happened at Emyvale Garda Station in the early hours of this morning, with the blaze reported at around 5:30am.
Gardaí and fire crews remain at the scene this morning.
No injuries have been reported.
In a statement, gardaí said: "Extensive damage has been caused to the building, [and] the scene is preserved pending a full Garda Forensic Examination."
They add that their investigations are continuing to find out what caused the fire.
Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area between the hours of 3am and 5.30am is being asked to come forward.

Emyvale is located in north Monaghan, only a few kilometres from the border with Northern Ireland.
The local Garda station has only limited operating hours, and was not open at the time of the blaze.
