Some of the recently closed Garda stations could be handed over to community and local voluntary grows.

Minister Brian Hayes, who is in charge of the Office of Public Works, says he's looking at options for all 139 closed stations, with 20 of them likely to be sold.

He says those which do serve a purpose for the State will be kept while the others will be put up for sale.
