Gardaí are urging road users to be responsible and show restraint on the roads this St Patrick's Day weekend.
To date, 31 people have lost their lives on the roads so far this year, including two deaths yesterday in Cork and Dublin.
Gardaí say this weekend is a traditionally busy and dangerous one for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
