Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the report of an alleged assault on a child in Ballymun.

The alleged assault by a man is reported to have taken place at a bus stop on the Ballymun Road on Friday December 27th at approximately 9.50pm.

Any witnesses have been urged by Gardaí to come forward.

They are appealing in particular to anyone who was in the area at the time or who has "direct knowledge" to get in touch.
