A man reported missing in Dublin has been found safe and well.

John Tyson (79) was reported missing from his home in Tallaght, south Dublin since Thursday.

He is described as being 5'10'' in height, of medium build, with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a navy cardigan, navy trousers, black shoes and a brown jacket.

However Gardaí say he has been located safe and well.
