An Garda Síochána is appealing to the public for ideas, to name its newest recruit.
The Garda Dog Unit is currently training an 11-week-old Cocker Spaniel puppy.
He has started his training to qualify as a specialist detection dog.

Described by Gardaí as "mischievous", he has yet to be named.

The force has said they are open to suggestions on their Facebook page.
He also likes to rough and tumble with Elsa and Bailey.

Gardaí say they will pick a few suggestions and put it to a vote on Wednesday evening.
