Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash in Co. Kerry.

A 27-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving left the road and hit a wall. It happened at Lawlors Cross, Dunrine on the Killarney to Tralee Road at around 11:45pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was a foreign national and the only occupant of the car at the time of the incident. His body was removed to Tralee General where a post mortem examination will be carried out today.

The roadway at the scene has re-opened.
