The body of a man found with stab wounds at a house in Co Limerick has been removed from the scene for a post mortem examination.
31-year old Shane Murphy of Lee Estate, Limerick City, was found dead at a house in the Grove, Pallaskenry, at around 11 o'clock last night.
A 34-year old woman who also suffered a stab wound is being treated in hospital for minor injuries.
Two men, aged 20 and 32, who were arrested shortly after the incident, are still being questioned by Gardai in Limerick City.
Sources in the emergency services said they responded to a report of a woman been assaulted when they discovered the body of a man at a house at The Grove, Pallasgreen.
There are unconfirmed reports the victim, a man in his mid 20s, had been trying to intervene in a separate incident involving another man and a woman when he received fatal stab wounds.
Sources said the man was stabbed in the chest, abdomen, and arms.
