Gardaí in Galway have arrested Kevin McGeever in connection with an ongoing investigation into his alleged abduction last year.

Mr McGeever was reported missing by his partner last May and turned up in a state of malnutrition in the Ballinamore area of Co. Leitrim in late January this year.

Reporter with the Evening Herald Greg Harkin has been following the story - he says Gardai believe Mr. McGeever's health has recovered sufficiently for him to answer questions about what happened to him.
