Gardaí have been asked to investigate a potential Irish link to the deadly shooting in Orebro, Sweden.
35-year-old man, Rickard Andersson killed ten people and injured six at an adult education institute on February 4th before taking his own life.
Since the attack, Swedish police have been attempting to determine a motive for the attack.
They have been looking into financial transactions made through Ireland, according to a report by The Irish Times.
Police are trying to determine how Andersson bought the three legally held weapons used in the attack.
Records show, over the past nine years, he had declared no income other than social welfare.
