Investigations are continuing in Co. Laois into the murder of Gerard Eglington.
The 27-year-old convicted criminal was shot dead at his home in the Kilnacourt Woods housing estate in Portarlington yesterday morning at 8.30am.
A dark blue Mazda-6 car was seen leaving the estate at high speed following the shooting.

It was later found burn’t out a short distance from the crime scene.
Gardaí believe the killing could be linked to a feud between gangs in the Crumlin and Drimnagh areas of Dublin.
They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
