A man found dead at a house in Dublin over the long weekend may have died days before he was discovered.
Gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 20s in connection with the death.
The 49-year-old man who was originally from Latvia was found dead at the house in Old Bridge Park in Lucan, shortly after 8am yesterday morning.
A man in his 20s was arrested and taken to a Garda station in west Dublin for questioning.
He remains in custody this morning.
The remains of the 49-year-old have been removed from the scene ahead of a postmortem examination.
The Herald reports this morning that gardaí are investigating whether he died hours or even days before emergency services were called.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Lucan Garda Station.
