The Criminal Assets Bureau has seized cash and frozen over €83,000 in bank accounts as part of an ongoing investigation targeting organised crime.
Searches were carried out at a home in the Blackrock area of County Louth and at an accountant’s office in Dublin.
Investigators said the searches targeted the assets of a CAB target from west Dublin.
Gardaí said over €83,000 was frozen in bank accounts and over €9,000 is in Garda custody.
Around €4,000 was found hidden at the house in County Louth.
Computer equipment and documents were also seized are set to be examined by specialist analysts.
Investigators said the operation was a “significant development in the ongoing investigation.”
