A murder investigation is underway after a mother-of-two was stabbed up to 12 times in Dublin.
Lisa Thompson - who was aged in her 50s - was killed at her home at Sandyhill Gardens in Ballymun.
Shortly before 3.30pm on Tuesday, officers were alerted to the discovery of her body.
Her remains have since been removed to the City Morgue.
Investigating Gardaí say they have "an open mind" in the direction of the investigation.
A post mortem is to be carried out by the Chief State Pathologist Linda Mulligan on Wednesday.
The scene is currently preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau are conducting a technical examination.
An incident room has been set up at Ballymun Garda station under the direction of a senior investigating officer.
A family liaison officer has also been appointed to Ms Thompson's family.
